MORGAN ELWY

Morgan Elwy and the ‘Bach O Hwne’ band brings steady rock rhythms, memorable melodies and wholesome harmonies to the stage. The songs are messages of peace, party and positive vibes accompanied by a mystical mixtures of Welsh language reggae, folk and rock rooted deep in the rainy hills of Hiraethog mountain. Since releasing his debut album last year self-proclaimed cheeky boy, Morgan Elwy and his band have been stealing and healing the hearts of audiences all over Wales.

SUMMER 2022

Summer 2022 has been a very busy one for Morgan Elwy and his band performing at festivals and venues all over Wales such as Tafwyl, Triban, Sesiwn Fawr Dolgellau, Clwb Ifor Bach and many more. Here are some videos and photos of the performances....

FOCUS WALES

Morgan Elwy and his band performing at focus Wales. Morgan’s 8th focus Wales where he previously played with local bands. But the first time as a solo artist playing reggae music!

GŴŶL TRIBAN

Gwyl Triban was a very busy week for Morgan with over 12 performances over the week. He joined pop trio Eden and Tara Bandito (left) on stage to sing his tube ’Bach O Hnwe’ as well as performing many solo acoustic sets and full band performances . Our set was recorded for BBC Radio Cymru's highlight show.

GWYL BACH Y FRO

Gwyl Bach y Fro was a great festival for Morgan and the band at Barry Island’s beach. The Welsh language festival attracted over 8000 music f fans to the sea front! The band played the Iconic Clwb Ifor Bach that evening!

TAFWYL

Tafwyl in Cardiff Castle 2022 with the band. With Tara Bandito on stage for a Bach O Hwne Jam ! The set was recorded and one of the songs played on S4C's highlight program.

Cân i Gymru 2021

The song 'Bach o Hwne' by Morgan Elwy Williams was chosen as the winner thanks to a live public vote by viewers of Cân i Gymru 2021 on S4C. The annual event was screened from the Donald Gordon Theatre at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. A panel of four judges chose the eight songs that appeared in the final round of Cân i Gymru. Here’s Morgan’n winning performance.
